Books on the House is a nonprofit organization that provides free books to children and adults of all backgrounds through via our bookmobile. We believe access to books opens doors—to learning, discovery, and personal growth. Whether it’s a story that sparks a lifelong love of reading or books about business, health, or finances, our collection reflects the wide-ranging needs and interests of the communities we serve. We’re committed to making literacy—in all its forms—accessible to everyone, because we believe we’re not just giving away books for free; we’re empowering our communities to unlock their full potential for growth.
Our initiatives not only provide free books for all ages, but we also want to foster a culture of lifelong learning and growth. The Literary Accessibility Project addresses the critical need for literature in under-resourced communities, ensuring that communitites are not only represented but empowered. By providing access to books that resonate with our communities, we hope to foster educational growth and the tools necessary for upward mobility. This initiative builds a foundation for long-term community development and resilience.
As we invest in literary opportunity in our local communities by purchasing books that represent all that we serve, we are not merely giving away free books; we are building bridges for opportunity and unlocking the full potential of every person we give a book to. We are helping to support the narrative of community empowerment and enrichment, bringing us closer to a brighter tomorrow.
