"We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give." ~ Winston Churchill
Finding this team that cares about the accessibility of books was amazing! There was no shame in looking for diverse and inclusive books, including educational books at different reading levels. I have experienced shame in having a learning disability but when Books on the House was recommended to me from my mom it was with an understanding that this team has created a safe space and truly cares about making sure everyone has something. I cannot emphasize enough the joy this dynamic duo brings to the community. They are always a calm and welcoming face in the community, and I am proud to support them.
Books on the House made it incredibly easy to host a book drive and we were so thrilled that these books benefit families in our local community. It is an amazing organization and we are grateful that we had the opportunity to participate!
Books on the House is amazing! They take great strides to represent everyone in the books they choose. Autism Kids has donated inclusive books to them and we couldn’t be happier with their mission!and important work! We will definitely be there!
The book mobile was so neat, clean, and organized, but there was something for everyone, and the books were in new or like-new condition. Jesse and Kat were so upbeat, knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. You can tell they love what they do! Being on the book mobile gave us exposure to books we likely would have not looked for or come across in our every day-to-day lives. Most importantly, it allowed us to see the joy on the faces of other recipients, others with the desire to read, when they got to pick out books of their very own. Kudos to Kat and Jesse as they are ---Books on House.
There was a mobile truck at the first Japan Fest In Charlotte NC! It was very nice and organized! I loved how friendly and patient they were when they greeted us and checked out our books . Very informative!
